start live streaming on twitch but you
have no clue where to start
don't worry about that I got you covered
now I understand a lot of you out there
going through some very rough times
that's why I'm here to help you a lot of
you are stuck staying at home at which
might be the escape you're looking for
that's why in this video I'm gonna show
you how to take your very first steps
into making your
own a twitch channel
due to the crazy circumstances with
everybody staying home twitch is
trending an all-time high what this
means is that there has never been more
Watchers watching streamers on Twitch
and ever before that goal of reaching a
twitch partner and making money while
staying home is still attainable there's
no better time to start streaming on
Twitch than right now now that's what
I'm talking about
[Music]
hey you guys my name is Wesley aka the
calm cool Savage and I'll be a twitch
hack for the night this is the new
series on the channel dedicated to
helping out amateur and beginner
streamers on Twitch now before we get
into the video hit the like button hit
the sub button it helps me as a content
creator
twitch is an online site that allows
users to watch or broadcast live
streaming or pre-recorded video of a
broadcasters video gaming gameplay it is
the world's leading live streaming
platform for gamers and all things we
love twitch 101 twitches more than a
live streaming service it's a place
where creators like you can share things
you love with community of millions
which is a
place where your voice can be
heard live and your audience can to the
content on the site designed to help you
grow as a creator develop a community
and earn a living doing what you love in
addition to advertising revenue there
are other ways you can make money on
Twitch you can also make money on Twitch
by getting donations from your fans and
subscribers the more stream time you put
in and the more goals you achieve you
will eventually unlock the affiliate so
you can begin getting revenue so you're
probably wondering now how do I create
my twitch channel but let's talk about
that
first things first go to twitch.tv
or search twitch and Google when you
arrive on the twitch page to create your
channel account you're gonna want to go
up to sign up
when creating a username you want it to
be simple but unique so as an example
I'm gonna use stay-at-home streamer type
in your secret password confirm it but
in your birthday add your email and then
click sign up which will then send your
email a verification code you're gonna
want to enter that now congratulations
you created your very own twitch channel
welcome to the party stay-at-home
streamer once you created your twitch
channel go to creator dashboard step
into the spotlight
start your streamer journey and build a
community on Twitch let us be your guide
welcome stay at home streamer like any
new adventure we need to prepare you for
the road ahead check out each section
below to get started some
general advice
that I like to give to new streamers at
the beginning is the fact that a lot of
streamers set their expectation of
themselves in the bar really really high
there's nothing wrong with having goals
and wanting to put on a really good
broadcast but everybody's starting out
sucks behind the camera sucks behind the
microphone of course there are gonna be
some people that aren't naturally more
charismatic or have better social skills
just because that's kind of how they are
I'm an artist people don't understand me
the best advice I could
give you be
yourself because you want people to like
you for you a lot of people think I need
to have this major massive PC I need to
have all of these extra things like you
need nothing more than a game console
and a microphone that's it you really
don't need anything too expensive yes in
the long term you want to invest but
just when you get started you can get
anything and honestly speaking I think
just having a webcam and good enough
audio is enough if you have something
that makes your stream look
and sound
nice and you haven't developed the
skills needed to become a better
broadcaster and entertainer and learned
your craft it's not gonna take you that
far a camera isn't as important as a lot
of people make it seem personally I like
cameras because I'm very animated I like
to make a lot of weird faces and it's
not even I like to make the weird faces
it's just that they have been so for me
a camera would be perfect
you don't necessarily need two monitors
at the start if you can get a second
monitor great it's great to
have two
monitors so you can have your broadcast
you know software over there and chat
and things like that multitask a little
bit better but it's not necessary you
can still use your phone or an iPad or
things like that other devices that you
might have that you can install the
twitch app lighting matters if you have
a good webcam but crappy lighting
they're not gonna be able to see it you
know so get that good lighting and make
sure that you got a good webcam a good
audio and you're fine
also while you're thinking
about facecam
stuff maybe you should think about if
that's the route you want to go because
I'll tell you right now having your face
on there obviously creates a little bit
more you know interesting stream people
can see the broadcaster obviously
viewers are naturally kind of curious
but if I was able to go back and just
stay with no webcam so that way I could
just stream all the time without having
to worry about people looking at me I
might have thought twice about revealing
my face as it were and having that
be a
part and staple of my stream now if you
want to look into investing for
streaming you definitely want you to
look into a few things mainly your
computer one of the biggest parts of
computers is you want to have a really
good CPU and if you're trying to
predominantly broadcast console games or
even mobile games maybe you might think
about getting a capture card if you're
worried about you know the aesthetically
pleasing stuff like a nice chair to make
you look at legit and whatnot just like
hold off on that and just wait maybe
make it a goal for like donations and
whatnot but build up to that but got to
get the stuff that really matters down
first in my opinion my first three
monitors were secondhand ones that I got
for $20 a piece it's really not that bad
try to save your money just get
something that works and then over time
as your community grows as you grow as a
content creator you'll have supporters
who want to help you improve the quality
of your stream I think the thing I enjoy
the most about streaming out of
everything is just interacting with my
chat and getting to know them there's
nothing quite like live streaming
there's no form of entertainment or
medium that allows you to have that
instant interaction between broadcaster
and viewer I can throw on the TV and
have a conversation and you know
interact with the person that's
broadcasting towards me on the other
side
of the camera there's not many
places that I could be myself fully and
be comfort
with myself and as animated in his wild
and loud as I am naturally and twitches
the perfect place for that building a
community over a longer period of time
and having them come back day in and day
out not only to hopefully you have you
know an impact on their life and cheer
them up as an entertainer and a
broadcaster but also the opposite
happens to where people come through and
they cheer you up you could see all the
silly stuff that happens in your chat
and sometimes honestly my chats more
entertaining than I am and I'm perfectly
okay with that and make sure you always
have that drive because you can't get
started on Twitch if you don't have the
drive to do it you just need to be you
no matter what platform you feel most
comfortable on it's easy to stream or
upload to twitch whether you prefer to
stream from a PC Mac Xbox Playstation or
your mobile phone you're just a few
steps away from broadcasting yourself to
the world it's all relative yep
it's all
the way around
you brought the cold here take some time
to go through the Creator camp this has
a lot of really important information
such as what are the streaming levels
with all the requirements to make
affiliate and partner with information
on what you should stream and the basics
of what a creator is and all the
unlocked features you get from follows

helpful information and from here you
can also explore the stream manager
